This is the first Mommy Diaries book that I've read, and as I'm in the thick of toddler-hood, it's refreshing to read another mom's struggles and that they lived through it! Many things I could relate to, and while she is right that we all parent differently, it's nice to have a small bit of affirmation of some of the things I do with my kids and to be confident in my parenting when so many around you want to criticize your parenting, especially when you stay at home and that's "what you do". And I whole-heartedly agree that the MOPS organization is wonderful! If you haven't checked it out, do it! It's saved me and my sanity more than once!
Even at my age (60), I enjoyed reading this book. It took me back to the days of parenting my children when they were young and gave me helpful suggestions in grandparenting. This book reminds us how precious our little ones are to us and helps us laugh instead of cry in all circumstances.
As I was reading this book it is easy to identify with the author. The stories help bring back memories of days gone by of when my child was a young toddler. It is also helpful for those who are about to be parents to know what to expect from their new "bundles of joy". I also really liked the aspect of how god is the focus of her life. Very inspirational!!!
